Facebook advertising is a Powerful means for Businesses, Small or Big. The sheer volume of users alone (1.71 billion as of July 2016) makes it a digital marketer’s playground.
Tip – 1 Posts via Twitter and/or Instagram
It has been derived that posts which are linked via Instagram and Twitter gets more engagement. The posts which are directly poste on Facebook are not able to create as much engagement.
A study from Buzzsumo found that “images posted via Instagram get 23% more engagement.”
Which makes sense, considering the insane level of engagement Instagram receives?
According to Brand Watch, “Engagement with brands on Instagram is 10 times higher than
Facebook, 54 times higher than Pinterest and 84 times higher than Twitter.” Try this simple trick and check the result for yourself.
Again the ratios depend more upon the Kind of Post, Creativity and the Target Audience.
Tip – 2 Hash tags don’t always work
Hash tags aren’t as effective on Facebook as they are on Twitter & Instagram. The same study from Buzzsumo found that posts with hash tags received less engagement than posts without. No wonder your time & mindspace are spared if Hash tags are to be minimized / ignored on Facebook.
This Trick would give better results and more value for money.
Tip – 3 Timing of the Post
With the volume of Posts being posted on Facebook each second your post is sure to be lost. Any given post could hold some 4-5 seconds on a page .It is suggested to post during off hours / night hours for giving the post better chance and time to be on any given page.
As per the data from Buzzsumo, the ideal time to post is between 10 p.m. and midnight local time.
There are two main reasons why.
First, there are fewer people posting content, which means less competition and more visibility.
Second, there are enough people still awake and active on Facebook to make it worth your time.

This worked out at least for us.

Tip -9 lesser the better
Would you want to read a quick 2-3 liner message or a story, same goes for the audience? Short and to the point posts supported with creativity are great to go.
You must follow the Twitter way; limit your posts to 150 characters only. Keep it short and sweet.
Do not overlook the power of Facebook. Though there are many social mediums available, Facebook isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
